Subject: RE: Labor Organization

This is a very important issue, for labor, for contractors, for developers, and for those of us who are interested in the kind of growth that will bring permanent jobs to Jefferson County that pay more than the minumum wage.  Having served for 14 years on the Jefferson County P&Z Commission and having been involved in a subdivision development since then, I was keenly interested in the concept of a commission on the subject that could forge a way forward to standardize building codes, including fire codes, throughout the county without a "diktat" in the charter that some municipalities might find unacceptable.  I would be happy to participate in this meeting if you think it appropriate.
