It sounds reasonable to me and I am sure we will discuss it on Thursday. It
sounds like more work for you and further delay in completing the Charter
but if you are willing to do it, I can't think of a good reason not to.

I am considering, when I revise the charter draft again, providing for
the creation of a Department of Economic Development and putting the
Planning and Code Enforcement departments within it as Divisions, as
well as all the other economic development activities of the government.
My thought is that everything essential to economic development, that
requires coordination and cooperation, should be under one roof with
one. We would have to provide for a transition to this structure over
the next two years.
What does everyone think about this idea?
